Experts in Decarbonization,
Carbon Management,
and Nature-Based Climate Solutions
TABAH ASIA is a blue carbon project developer and methodology co-author, building nature-based carbon solutions across coastal wetlands in Southeast Asia. We co-authored CM-LU-CW-001 — the Blue Carbon Methodology for Mitigation of Climate Change in Coastal Wetlands — in partnership with Cercarbono.
Our active project portfolio covers over 28,000 hectares of mangrove and coastal wetland ecosystems across Malaysia, delivering verified carbon credits and long-term ecological restoration. As the Malaysia Chapter of the Global Mangrove Alliance (GMA), we operate at the intersection of science, policy, and market development.
Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, TABAH ASIA works with landowners, government bodies, and conservation partners to unlock the full value of blue carbon ecosystems — from project origination and validation through to credit issuance and sale.

Coastal Wetlands Journey
One Shot, One Site, a World of Stories.

Eco-tourism development can improve hydrological dynamics in mangroves by promoting restoration projects and sustainable water management practices to enhance ecosystem health for visitors and wildlife alike.

Mangroves can thrive in desert waters if salt-tolerant seedlings are planted and supported by appropriate sedimentation and water quality management.

Mangroves can remain pristine and resilient to human destruction and climate change only if humans actively protect and conserve them in their natural state.

Very intriguing mangroves for their exceptional height and resilience, thriving in a dynamic mix of freshwater and saltwater environments.

Conservation and restoration projects succeed only when land ownership and community rights are clearly defined and respected.

Flora within mangrove species not only support the micro-forest’s health through mutual growth but also enhance the well-being of local communities by providing resources and ecosystem services.

Erosion of mangroves by energy waves can be mitigated by managing water currents and enhancing sediment deposition to stabilize coastal sediments.

Local committees not only safeguard thriving mangrove health but also benefit by receiving fair compensation through equitable payment for ecosystem services schemes.

Mangrove ecosystems can thrive amidst urbanization if integrated into city planning from the outset and sustained through genuine, ongoing conservation efforts.
TABAH ASIA leads in the conservation and sustainable management of coastal ecosystems—mangroves, seagrass meadows, and salt marshes—that store vast amounts of carbon. Our blue economy initiatives promote sustainable use of ocean resources, supporting livelihoods while preserving marine health.
